The Varsity Blue is Vinita High School's monthly student newspaper.
It covers school news, Senior Spotlights, VHS Sports, Entertainment, Editorials
and photoghraphs of recent school events.
Angela Martin, a full-time journalist at the Vinita Daily Journal, is the adviser.
Angela teaches the essentials of basic journalism and photography.
Newspaper staff members must be enrolled in at least one trimester of Newspaper, and must actively participate in gathering stories and information about life as a VHS student. Anyone may submit stories, photos
or story ideas to a newspaper staff member. The Varsity Blue staff meet weekdays, at 2pm, in room 114. Story feedback and ideas can also be left in Angela Martin's mailbox in the high school office.
The Varsity Blue is published monthly by the Vinita Daily Journal.
The articles are not necessarily the views of the staff, Vinita High School administration or the Vinita School Board.
The Varsity Blue welcomes opinions, creative writing, and editorials from students which fall under the guidelines of the school's policy and are accepted by The Varsity Blue. The newspaper staff reserves the right to edit all materials as they see fit due to space limitations or editorial purposes.
